This was done on a 16:9 TV, so I'm not sure how it would affect CRT TV's. Everything I search says I need to add 'disableoverscan1' to the config. Some games though like Wave Racer 64 and 007 Goldeneye will have black borders on the top and bottom. You can find this pack over on the RetroArch forums. On some games in N64 like Mario Kart 64, the image will be fine and run top to bottom with just the black borders on the side since its still 4:3.
